¶ KasVault basic guide for desktop users
¶ Introduction
KasVault is a simple web interface for interacting with the Ledger Kaspa app. You can use it to Receive and Send your Kaspa with your Ledger device.

¶ Kaspa App Installation
To install Kaspa in your Ledger device follow the instructions here search for the Kaspa app and install it.
¶ Usage
- Make sure Ledger Live is not running.
- Connect your Ledger device to your desktop computer using USB.
- Launch the Kaspa app on your Ledger device.
- On your desktop, open https://kasvault.io in Chrome or Edge (WebHID is not supported in other browsers).
- In KasVault, select “Connect with USB.”
On the first run, choose the device you wish to use. After device selection, KasVault generates your first Kaspa address.
¶ Viewing your Addresses and Balances
After connecting your device, the Addresses tab will show all the addresses you've generated and the balance you have for each of them
Click on your Kaspa address to start using it.
¶ Receiving Funds
When you click on your Kaspa Address, you will automatically navigate to the Overview. To receive funds, copy your address and share it with the sender. Alternatively, the sender can scan the QR code on this page, which contains your Kaspa address.
¶ Sending Funds
To send funds from your selected address, follow the instructions below
- Enter the recipient's address in the “Send to Address” field. Input the desired sending amount in the “Amount in KAS” field.
Filling in both fields will automatically calculate the fee you will pay. - Click on the “Sign with Ledger and Send” to initiate the review process. You can then verify the transaction in your Ledger device. You can Approve or Reject the transaction.
- Approving the transaction signs and sends it to the network.
- A confirmation will display your Transaction ID, the amount sent, and the recipient's address.
Congratulations! You successfully Sent it.
¶ FAQ
¶ Are my funds safe with KasVault?
Yes, but to be clear KasVault itself does not store your Kaspa. Your Kaspa is not stored in the Ledger device as well. When you send kaspa to the address you generate with KasVault, it is stored on the blockdag as a UTXO.
